To begin with, it is important to mention that, for the correct application of NOM-133\/2-SCFI-1999, it is necessary to take into account the Procedures for certification and verification of products subject to compliance with Mexican official standards, competence of the Ministry of Economy (POLEVAS).<\/p>\n\n

What is the scope of application of NOM-133\/2-SCFI-1999?<\/h2>\n\n

This official Mexican standard applies to all children’s products known as strollers that are marketed within the territory of the United Mexican States.<\/p>\n\n

The definition of stroller is found within this standard and is understood as: \u201cA wheeled vehicle that, not being a toy, is used to transport infants or young children.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

The product subject to the application of this Mexican Official Standard is classified into 3 types, which are, but not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n\n
